Because my reply would never fit everyhing I gotta say, I’ll put it here. First off, people are stupid. I had a similar experience, when I was 12 when I first started writing. Just let the motivation to improve drive you. ^_^ Don’t let others outstrip you as your harshest critic—that’s my motto, at least.
I’m not very good at advice or stuff like that, so all I can do is not and show empathy. D ;
